Philip Osgood

Meditation Teacher

Philip has been a meditation practitioner over the last 4 decades with experience in Vipassana, Zen, and Tibetan Buddhism. He has concentrated his practice on the Dzogchen tradition and has studied with Lama Surya Das, Lama John Makransky, Lama Willa Miller, Kenchen Thrangu Rinpoche, Tsoknyi Rinpoche, and Anam Thubten.

Philip currently serves as Mitra in the Margha program and over the years has facilitated several writing retreats at Wonderwell. He is especially interested in exploring the integration of spiritual practice within the ever-shifting complex of our contemporary social, political, and environmental challenges.

I have been a Mitra for a few years now and find my spiritual development constantly refreshed by the structure of the Margha Program and by an ever-deepening appreciation for the compassion and wisdom practices we explore.

Every year, it’s a delight to newly experience the sense of sangha that emerges through working with my co-Mitra and our current group of mentees. I feel that the Margha program is a true collaboration in that we all learn from one another as we share our respective spiritual journeys.
