Barbara was catapulted into the Tibetan Buddhist universe after attending the Karmapa’s Black Crown ceremony in Boston in 1979. She later met her root teacher, Lama Gonpo Tseten, in Conway MA, and studied with him in Massachusetts, California, and Tibet.
After extensive travels in Asia, living in Europe, and working as a psychiatric nurse, she now lives in residence at Wonderwell Mountain Refuge and works as the Co-Managing Director.
Her current interests include studying Dzogchen, exploring collective consciousness through council, teaching compassion and benefactor practices, and learning as much as possible about creating and maintaining a community.
