Anne Rugg has been practicing and studying Buddhism since 2000. She was ordained as “Akashavanda” (Orchid in Luminous Space) in the international Triratna Order in 2008.
She began studying with Lama Willa in 2013. Her practice is inspired by the teachings of Lama Willa and Lama Liz, as well as Anam Thubten, Tsoknyi Rinpoche, and Lama John Makransky.
Anne has worked in administrative and marketing positions in the fields of sustainable transportation, affordable housing, and public health. She serves on the NDF Board of Directors and as a Mitra in the Margha Program.
Anne lives in Eliot, Maine with her husband.
