Monday Night Meditation

Lama Liz Monson
November 30, 2020

Live Online: 5:00–6:30 pm EST

For the last two NDF Monday night meditations in November, Lama Liz will guide us through the deeper meanings found in a prayer by the Dzogchen master, Jigme Lingpa, on raising Bodhicitta.

On Monday, November 23, we will explore the problem of our entrapment in appearances (thoughts, feelings, sensory experiences), which prevents us from recognizing the vastness, tranquility, and power of our own innermost being and keeps us bound up in patterns of suffering and emotional reactivity.

On Monday, November 30, we will examine how this prayer also presents us with a powerful path to freedom from our entrapment through the profound practice of cultivating the Four Immeasurable Attitudes. Once freed from entrapment, we discover a pliability of mind and body that can enable us to respond to the suffering of the world with appropriate and timely actions.

Due to security issues, we are asking everyone to register through Zoom to access Monday night meditation.
