Trouble Logging In – Most Common Issues
The good news is you’re not really locked out and your resources are still there.
COMMON REASONS FOR LOGIN ISSUES
- either the password or email address entered doesn’t match what’s in the system
- mistyped characters or forgotten password
- using a different email address than the one you used to create the account
IF YOU GET “LOCKED OUT”
Typically, a user gets locked out when there are too many failed attempts to log in. You may get an error message or a screen that says you’re “Locked Out”. If this comes up, the issue normally self-resolves within 15 minutes or so
TECH TIP
When dealing with passwords, one way to avoid getting locked out is to write it down immediately when you create it, then put it in a safes space. Then, when you go to use it, first type your password into a blank document then copy and paste it in to avoid typos and spaces.
